Kimberly Lewis

Head of Lower Division, Avenues: The World School in New York City

Kimberly “Kim” Lewis is an experienced, caring and visionary educational leader, curriculum writer, and member of program design teams. Kim has served as a beloved school administrator at Germantown Friends School and Dwight-Englewood School. Currently, she serves as Head of Lower Division at Avenues: The World School in New York City where she leads a dual-language immersion program for over 600 students in grades 1-5. She is also a member of the campus and global leadership teams and works very closely with teachers and families across the school’s global ecosystem.

 

Kim’s educational background includes a B.S. in Psychology from Howard University, a Master of Science in Special Education from Bank Street College of Education, and an MEd in Organizational Leadership from Teachers College Columbia University. She also completed study with the African American Board Leadership Institute, readying her for philanthropic leadership during these changing times.

 

In her free time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family and visiting her 3 adult children that live in Washington, D.C and Tempe, AZ.
