William started his career in the utility construction industry by joining an apprenticeship program through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union (IBEW). He worked his way up the ranks as a journeyman lineman holding various positions at different utility-based construction companies managing over $2 Billion in projects in his career before starting Empower Construction.

 

William’s passion for entrepreneurship extends outside of his companies to coaching and mentoring young entrepreneurs as they begin their journey. Born and raised in the City of Philadelphia and educated in Philadelphia public schools, William strives to promote the City’s minority businesses, advocate for Workforce Development programs, and mentor youth by providing awareness, access, and tools to be successful in the workforce.

 

William attended Drexel University and Eastern University, and currently serves as a Board Member for Philadelphia Works and the North Penn Valley Boys & Girls Club. William has been married to his lovely wife Demi for over 20 years and has three amazing children Alana, Caleb, and Aubrey.
