At Breakthrough, we believe in the importance of volunteerism and exposure to new opportunities for our students and families. On October 6, members of our community participated in the Revolutionary Germantown Festival as a part of our partnership with Cliveden.
As volunteers, students did a little bit of everything! They handed out programs, solicited donations, worked at the information and admission tables, engaged visitors at the Carriage House, and helped with crowd control and monitored the historic house during the reenactments.
They were also part of the ceremonial folding of the American flag at the conclusion of the event. According to the Cliveden staff, “The festival was a success thanks to your help and support!” Breakthrough students are not only hard working and dedicated to their future success, but they believe in giving back.
