Last Saturday, 8th grade Breakthrough students and families joined with thousands of others from across the city of Philadelphia to attend the High School Fair at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.  The Philly High School Fair is an opportunity for students and families to research more than one hundred high school options in Philadelphia by discussing admissions requirements, extracurricular activities, academic courses of study, and other areas of interest directly with representatives from each school.

Breakthrough students completed a research scavenger hunt designed to help them think about choices and opportunities and were tasked with selecting their top schools. Breakthrough staff use this data to help guide students and their families through the high school application process over the next school year to ensure students are set up for success.
