On Saturday, October 13, thirteen professionals from SAP and a guest volunteer from Johnson & Johnson came to Drexel University for our 5th Annual SAP Career Day. Students mingled and passed out their business cards and asked questions to a panel of professionals with different areas of expertise. They learned about the professionals’ career paths and engaged in focused conversations with individual participants to learn about their journeys to and through high school and college.
Students left inspired, with many considering careers in technology and some even pondering becoming future SAP employees. The feedback from the SAP volunteers was very positive. The father of a Breakthrough teaching fellow alum said he jumped at the opportunity to volunteer at Breakthrough. He was excited to update us on her experience, saying “She is now an 8th grade social studies teacher thanks to Breakthrough!”
